Therapy is new to me. What is the process?

We will discuss all your important questions and determine whether I am the right fit for you! Once we have gone over the important details such as fees and scheduling, we will have our first appointment where we take care of some basic paperwork and then get started! We will clarify your goals, discuss your story, and begin building a professional relationship in the early sessions. Next we will begin tackling the big issues and address anything that may come up in the process! I am there to help you through the process and gain substantial momentum towards reaching your goals, no matter how big or how small. I work efficiently to bring healing to my clients who have often been struggling for years. Therapy is individualized to each client and their specific needs, all of which will be discussed so that we can come up with a plan that works for you! You are not alone in this process!
Do you offer free phone consultations?
Yes! I offer 10-15 minute phone consultations so that we can begin building rapport and discussing the issues even before the first session! We will talk about what kind of services you are looking for and I will answer all of your questions. For a free consultation, contact me via phone or email and I will get back to you ASAP!
Who do you see?
I see individuals, couples, families, adults, adolescents, and children in a private practice setting for a variety of different issues.
What is the duration and frequency of therapy sessions?
Sessions are approximately 45-50 minutes long and typically once per week. On occasion I will see people more frequently (2x a week) or less frequently (bi-weekly/monthly), depending on unique circumstances.
What is the average per session cost?
My fee is $150 per session for individuals and $175 for couples/family sessions. For those who need a lower fee, I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to accommodate your budget. Book a free phone consultation with me to discuss a price that works for you.
What form of payment do you accept?
I accept credit card, debit card, cash, or check.
Do you take insurance?
I do not work directly with an insurance company, meaning my fee is an out of pocket cost. You may be able to seek out reimbursement directly from your insurance provider through out of network benefits depending on your specific insurance plan. If you are interested in being reimbursed, I can provide Superbills upon request that you can submit to your insurance.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes, sessions are confidential! Your privacy is valued and disclosures made in sessions are confidential. As a mandated reported, there are only a few special circumstances in which breaking confidentiality is permitted and/or required by law or. Some of those circumstances include:
Suspected Child, Elder, or Dependent Abuse
Threat of imminent bodily harm to self or other
Client intending to harm themself or is gravely disabled
